Machine Heads unfit for Fender

I've had my Fender Mexi J for about 10 years and the machine heads have lost their hold- causing for lots of retuning.

Just had a set of schallers come in from Warmoth and I'm finding a couple of issues. One, I'd have to drill new holes into the headstock. More importantly, the bushes are loose as well.

Any suggestions in regards to actually using these and the best way to install them?

Any suggestions for finding a better fit for my bass?

Any opinions on Warmoth?

Warmoth is just reselling Schallers, which are very good tuners. If you want tuners that you do not have to re-drill for, check HERE. They sell the import Fender tuners. As for the bushings being loose, I have seen people wrap a little tape around the inside of the bushing before pressing it into the hole to tighten it up a bit.

EDIT: also Hipshot HB7 tuners should fit a mexi Fender with no drilling. You can get them HERE
