make a 4 string bead

ok i ask this befor with no help.I want to knoe if i take my bass a 34 scale and use 5 string with out the g string and get it set up right if it will be floppy i heard that like if the string is longer it wount be floppy.i want to know if i make the bass stroung though the body if it will sove this please help
