I have bought a 70s Greco Jazz Bass in sunburst, I want to take it and sandpaper it on the top to make look as if it had been played 5 hours a day for the last 30 years, any reccomendations to do this?? just buy the sandpaper and go with it?

Or just play it 20 hours a day for 7.5 years.

I bet someone could make a lot of money if you could "smoke treat" your bass to look like it's been played in the smokiest bars for 15 years.

don't do it man, it'll likely look un-natural and tacky. just play the thing and let it age naturally

Don't do it! It's such a cool feeling when you start getting REAL wear spots just from playing it so much.
