Marcus Miller Jazz replacement neck? Size??

Sign in to disble this ad
At the time it seemed like a good idea, to rip the frets off my Marcus Miller Jazz bass neck, i also was playing a Sterling at the time. Slowly through the years i have grown to not really dig the unfretted neck. Plus it does not sound like a fretless AT ALL. Does anyone know what size neck i should buy? I have been on warmoth to check and see the sizes and how to measure, but i wanted to run it by you guys to see what someone has to say. Thanks! Also if someone has a interesting idea please advise.

Go to the Stratosphere web store on eBay. They may have a replacement neck for your bass. Anything from Warmoth will fit.

I've got a 2001 CIJ 1975 Reissue Precision neck on mine and it's a SNUG fit.

I believe the MM neck pockets might be a hair smaller than standard.

re-fret?

Couldn't you just replace the frets? Probably cheaper than a whole new neck, and you'd know that the neck was going to fit.
