Mask tape that will work with alcohol.

Is there any mask tape that will stay in place even after applying alcohol soluble dye(for the fingerboard). The ones I've tried seems to lift due to alcohol

If the neck is unfinished you may find that finishing it, or at least giving it a coat of sealer will allow the die to be wiped off.

Water soluble dye will not dissolve the adhesive in masking tape.
