Measuring String Spacing

How, exactly, would I go about measuring string spacing? From which points on the strings do I take measurements? I'm trying to order a set of pickups, and the manufacturer requires the spacing info, and I have no idea.

Measure string spacing at the bridge. From the middle of one string to the middle of the next. Or from the middle of one bridge piece to the middle of the next if that's easier.
