I have been taking all of my basses to Sound Works in Ringwood for over 5 years now.
It's a little drive from CBD but they came highly recommended to me by local luthier Neil Kennedy and I have been very happy with the results.

James Cargill in Seaford is another highly reputable guitar tech.

I've been to both BC and SW and prefer Sound Works! Good luck!

Bassists in Melbourne, excellent.

While I'm here, I was thinking of taking a bass I just bought (Fender CIJ Jazz 62 RI) to The Bass Centre for a proper setup, are they good at that?

Nic.
