This is how it started:

I want something cheap, sounds good, and that I can say I did most of the work

I want to just put random stuff into this bass, anything to make it sound better.

So, the first thing I did, was went out and bought a Squier P Bass Aff, so far, I have QP's in it, 2 new pots, EB Hybrids.

I just want to buy a bunch of random stuff for this thing.

I don't really know ALOT about this stuff, but I just want everyones opinion about this stuff, like the quality and your personal opinion. I was thinking about getting a BadAss bridge, maybe get a new neck, possible warmoth or something off of all-parts.

I don't really know what else there is, and my budget isn't high, nor is it low.

EDIT: Possibly a tremelo, anyones opinions about those? What are their pro's and cons?

Bass masta16,

I would highly recommend the Hipshot "A" bridge. I've used them regularly in my work as have several other professional luthiers. Of course, BadAss bridges are always good too.

I'm not real familiar with the quality of pre-made necks. The only thing I would recommend there would be to check and see if you can get a neck that is quartersawn. A quartersawn neck will be more stable and less prone to warping/twisting.

You might also want to get some high gear-ratio tuners and a bone, tusq, or brass nut.

Enjoy!

I'm not real familiar with bass trems personally. I have heard a lot of good things about the Kahler trems though, maybe consider taking a look at those. You'll definitely want to see if they have schematics for the trem(s) so you know what kind of cavity you'll need to route into the bass body.
