Metric or american size allen wrench ??

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi guys...

just bought an MIA fender jazz year 2003 couple days ago. I usually do my own setup, but this time I have this problem inserting my allen wrench into the truss rod nut.

I have an extensive collection of metric allen wrenches and none of the fit....have the same problem with the bridge as well...

Do I need American size allen wrench for american fender ?

Should be American 1/8"...
If it's worn, you'll need a gripper wrench:

I THINK the MIM uses a 5mm wrench instead of the US 1/8" that the MIA one uses.

Sorry to once again derail the thread, but any idea on the size of a Korean made Jazz 24?? That gripper is perfect as the truss is stripped a little from the previous owner. Help would be GREATLY appreciated.
