Mighty Mite Jazz Necks on eBay

Sign in to disble this ad
I've read here in TB that some have had problems installing mighty mite necks on their Fender Jazz's (apparently the heel is too big). I have an '06 MIM Jazz and have been wanting to replace the stock neck with another one with a maple fingerboard and I've see some nice necks from mighty mite for around $100 (my budget). Has anyone had experienced with these necks (preferably on a MIM Fender J-Bass)?

I've installed 2 Mighty Mite necks on my early 90's MIM P-Bass Special (fretted and fretless). The shape of the heel was different than the original neck. Ir requires a router for a perfect fit. I will say, however, that the pocket width and depth was perfect and the necks are a steal at the price they get.

Yeah, i couldn't pass it up--those (near)birdseye-maple patterns on the headstock are what sold me .

I just finished buying it right now! I hope installation doesn't go too bad! BTW, it says something about the frets probably needing to be finished...is this really necessary?
