Mighty mite neck finish and sanding questions...

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi i have a rosewood on maple j bass neck
It is said that there is a finish on it but i think its a very thin finish so do u think i should apply another coating?
Has anyone ever had problems with the finihs on their mighty mite necks?
And the rosewood fretboard its a little lighter than the one on my peavey bass.. kind of looks a little bit dry... should u do something to it?
Thanks

You can/should treat the rosewood with the oil of your choice (lemon, orange, etc), just don't over so it. The rest of the neck is fine, if you like satin (I do). If you are determined to thicken it up, there are some wipe-on poly products that are fairly easy to apply and are available at local Home Depot/Loews. However, I would suggest doing some more research before just slapping it on there. Althought not difficult, there is a little more to it than that.
