MIM Fender Deluxe Active Jazz Upgrade

Sign in to disble this ad
Am upgrading the hardware on a MIM Fender Deluxe Active Jazz starting specifically with the bridge and the tuners and am looking for some recommendations, ideas and feedback.

From what I have been reading so far on the forum, it looks like for the bridge the most recommended is the Leo Quan BadAss Bridge II. Have seen where some are slotted on E-bay, but most say that a they must be manually slotted with a file. What's the story?

For the tuners, the direct replacement seems to be the Hipshot HB7.

Thanks in advance,

Beau

Whats wrong with the tuners that are on it?
Or for that matter, the bridge?
Why are you "upgrading"?

Not trying to be mean, I'm jusk asking. If you just happen to have extra money that you need to get rid of, PM me and I'll give you my address.

as nortonrider points out, why are you planning on purchasing these? I bought them for myself, personally, because of aesthetic reasons, and to score brownie points (brand names?)

other than that, they don't provide any more benefit than stock parts.
