MIM, MIA & aftermarket Jazz, body, necks

Are MIM, MIA Fender Jazz bass bodies and necks from Allparts and Warmoth interchangable? If I have MIM deluxe jazz and want a direct bolt on can I use a neck from any of the above companies without doing any routing?

They're supposed to be interchangeable, But I doubt the MIM stuff is. It is my understanding that the MIM neck pocket is slightly smaller, meaning a MIM neck would fit slightly loosely in a MIA or aftermarket body. Not critically loose, but neck fit is one of the recipies for good playability & tone. I believe that all MIA parts are interchangeable with the major aftermarket companies. Before dropping your money, get a caliper and call the vendors up to see if what you have will work with what they're selling. FWIW - I would also consider USA Custom Guitars parts. They are like Warmoth, but they offer a few different options that Warmoth doesn't.
