Missing Machine Head Retaining Screw..?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey peeeps...

If anyone can tell me what size screw i need, sumhow it has worked itself lose and it was lost at a gig a week or so back..

I was originally told the machine heads were schaller ones, but since they do not bare their name i am assuming they are Gotoh ones..

I cannot restring my bass without this screw cause the string keep slipping out of tune ever so slightly...

I have enclosed a picture of the issue ...

Thank you...

Almost looks like a Hipshot but the gear teeth are a little too pronounced. Any chance you can find a replacement at the local hardware store? Looks like a common machine bolt might fit provided it has the correct thread size. You can determine this beforehand if you have access to a tap and die set.

Hey!

They appear to be older style Ultra-Lites. The screw is a 6-32, by 1/4" long.
