Mixing Schaller's and Hipshot's.. Does it bother you?

I've seen more and more people replace their tuners with three Schallers and a "matching" Hipshot Xtender. Why not four Hipshots? Price?

Are others bothered by different tuning rations? Unaware of different tuning ratios? Do you care if they match? Or is it just about price?

Or am I just anal?

If I'm replacing tuners, it's three HB-2's and a matching BT-2. No reason in my mind for three Schallers and one that doesn't match.

For me it's a matter of tuning ratios. I like consistency between instruments where I can. This is certainly one of those places.

yeah, i could see that aggrivating me, some smoother than others. but the littlest things will bother me. IE the SWR head i got, which the faceplate got real messed up in shipping(may have read about it). im probably going to buy a new one because most of the SWR emblem is worn off, and its still not perfectly straight, also theres other scratches and removed chrome, and wear is cool on a bass(not that relic stuff though... wear it in yourself) but not on my electronics. so, 70 bucks(made to order) just so that i wont be aggrivated everytime i look at it.
