I was wondering if someone could give me the general range that they use or know would be good for a Q5. By this I mean including pickup height (2 soapbars). height of each string saddle, and what not. Also i was wondering what is good to use to clean the graphite fingerboard, i dont want to damage it.

For setup, I went by sound. Eperiment for yourself and you will find the optimal pick-up height. Listen to the balance you are getting from each pick-up. Typically the bridge pick-up will need to be closer to the strings to get a strong signal. Then neck pup does not need to be nearly as close.

As far as adjusting strings, I would do this first before the pups. Adjust them to your liking. Do you like your action low? Do you like your action a little higher for slap?

As for cleaning, I always cleaned my fingerboard with a soft wet cloth and a little dish detergent. It will get all the gunk off and will not hurt the the finish. Follow up with a clean dry microfiber cloth. Do not us lemon oil or any kind of petroleum product on the fingerboard.

to clean the phenolic fingerboard remove the strings and spray some WD-40 onto a paper towel and wipe the fingerboard. No need to soak it. (really!)

+1 on the WD-40, I was told to use this by a Modulus employee
