More sustain from trapeze tailpiece

I have a Dean Stylist with a trapeze tailpiece. I really like the way the bass feels but would like a little more sustain.

The bass is strung with DR sunbeams right now.

Any ideas?

I don't know the model, but if you put on a fat-finger, or a metal plate on the headstock it will do similar things to a high mass bridge

Thanks spudmaster34, the fat finger looks like a good try. I was wondering if there were any tricks are upgrades to the tapeze tailpiece also.

A lack of sustain is a typical for a trapeze tailpiece.

I realize I will lose sustain due to the trapeze but would like to see if I can tweak things a little without any structural work to the bass.
