Just got my Guitar Parts Resource bridge in the mail. When I went to mount it to my SX, I noticed that the screw holes didn't match up exactly.
I wouldn't think attempting to mount the bridge with the current holes would be a good idea so I had the idea of moving the bridge back about 1/4" of an inch. Any thoughts or suggestions before I do this?
Sorry for the cell phone pics. |

If you move the bridge back, you are asking for intonation problems. |

Doweling the holes and redrilling is definitely the best scenario, but I really don't feel like a $90 bass deserves that much attention. Moving it back that small amount I would imagine being able to be compensated for in adjustments, but then again, intonation is the only reason I created this thread before simply mounting it. |

The outer screws aren't as straight as I'd like for them to be at all, however, the bridge has recessed holes and the screws are pan head. It's not that noticeable.
Stock SX against the new one. |

All from an $18 bridge. |
