Mounting Hipshot Style A bridge

Sign in to disble this ad
Did a search, but didn't find what I was looking for.

Just got my Hipshot A today. Before I start digging in, I wanted to find out of there are any bits of information I would need to know prior to mounting it up. Things like the center of the bridge is a little offset or anything like that? I've not whipped out a machinests ruler or anything, but it looks like the center of the hipshot is not offset.

Also, I see that there is plenty of room for setting the intonation. But, would be curious to know if there is any bits of information about placement that I should be aware of.

I'd hate to mount this only to realize I messed up and have to drill new holes...

Anyway, thanks for any info.

Oh yeah... My Seymour Duncan Qtr Pounder came in today too.

Eh.. It was easy enough. Got it in place. Only thing I'd have done a little different is to move it forward about 1/8th an inch to give me more room for setting intonation. Other than that, it's perfectly aligned.
