Question Multi-Layered PG Question --

I wonder if anyone has ever had a logo or a design - even a radiused line cut through the first layer of PG down to the next color for an accent?

Yes.

I'm pretty sure that script "Ibanez Custom" is through the blacklayer exposing the white layer. My CA didn't have that PG though, so it may be paint...but there are other companies making black on color and then engraved pgs...

are you asking about the feasibility of diy, or looking for a vendor?

I actually own an old pantograph that has a whole set of cutters and scripts and fonts forms for different sized relief and flourishes.

Thinking I can customize a PG that is multi-layered that way. After all - those engraved signs and ID plaques are just double layered with different colors too.

Go for it! You might find a lot of eager fans and could possibly make some side cash in the process!

Should be pretty easy to get cheap, beat-up pgs on ebay to practice on...

I'd prolly stick to names and/or initials for a bit.Typically the pantograph holds bars of material, not an odd shaped PG. I'd have to make some sort of hold-down for them.

Interesting thought though.
