I recently started noticing a little fretbuzz on my SR5 on the A and D strings. I don't know much about setup, but I've looked through the general setup and truss rod tweaking sites that are stickied at the top. My question is this, since I'm only getting fretbuzz on the A and D strings, should I be focusing only on the saddle height, or is this still a truss rod issue? The fretbuzz occurs, once again, only on the A and D strings from frets 1-4.

Finally, how hard should it be to turn the truss rod? I tried it with the strings off and I bent my screwdriver. However, MM tells you to leave the strings on when you turn the rod... so could that be a factor?

you bent a screwdriver? that's WAY too much force...is this an older MM?

edit: is see it's a stingray 5--the truss adjustment wheel should be quite easy to move, the design automatically allows a greater amount of force to be applied than a simple nut-type rod adjustment because of the increase moment arm of the wheel...

Hrmmm... it's an 02 SR5. Do you think the truss rod is broken, stuck from lack of use (does this happen?), or what? Maybe I should contact MM and see what the come up with.
