MusicMan Stingray Pickguard Idea

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm getting tired of having a Stingray that looks like everyone else's. I want to change the pickguard, but I don't want to choose the usual colors. Does anyone know if they make either a clear or tinted pickguard? My Stingray is the natural wood color and I think a clear pickguard would show off the wood grain and still be an echo of the traditional Stingray look. If they don't have one available then does anyone know where I can have a custom one cut? I could always just lose the pickguard entirely since I'm a finger style player and I don't need it for protection, but a tinted clear pickguard would be sick looking.

Yes, there are clear Stingray pickguards. I typed 'Stingray pickguard' into the search function here, and got 10 pages worth of threads on the subject.

Bass Central used to sell clear pickguards for MM basses. They just came out with some new patterns recently also.Might be worth checking out.
