Musicvox Locking Tuners

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a Musicvox Space Cadet 12-string bass with locking tuners. Two of the tuners broke at the tops of the posts. The tuner manufacturer is Jinho Music from Korea. I cannot find replacements anywhere. I could replace with non-locking tuners, but I want to retain the OEM specs of the bass if possible. Any ideas, folks?
Thanks!

Hi.

Short of getting new posts machined I can't think of anything.

Pics?

Regards

Hi.

Thanks for the pic.

If You wouldn't have said Jinho Music to be the manufacturer, I'd guessed Gotoh.

I'd make a wild guess that the tuners are Gotoh clones, so those will work. Take the butterfly/knob off first to determine whether the worm shaft end is the same though.

RE: Musicvox Locking Tuners

Thanks, Sam - the Gotohs were as close as I could find, too.

I have one guitar building friend who accepts any challenge. Wait until he sees THESE tuners!

All the best,
Ray
