Mustang Bass Setup

I just purchased a new CIJ Mustang Bass. I have string buzzing. I think it may be due to the string windings being too short, but I'm not sure. How much does this contribute to string buzzing? Do you turn the nut counter-clockwise to introduce more relief? Do you have to take the neck off to make the adjustment?

Well this might be an opportunity for me to ask for everyone's opinion on the reissue Mustang Bass. For some reason I'm obsessed with them...hey you can't have a Jaguar without a Mustang right? I've heard a lot of bad things about them, what do you guys think?
