Question My bass is set up to have realy high action and i want to lower it a little

My bass is set up to have high action and I want to lower it a little so my main question is what way do I move the truss rod,pickup height, if theres any specifics that dont revolve around personal needs, so if you help me out thanks.

Before you go making truss rod adjustments, sight down the neck and see if it is curved. You may just need to drop the bridge saddles some. If you DO need to adjust the truss, turning it clockwise will normally cause it to straighten, pulling the strings closer to it.
