My BBN4, does it really exist??

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi, i am in desperate need of some expert but easy to understand advice. I found an old yamaha bbn4 abandoned in the street and decided to make it my project to fix it. The problem is i am completely new to wiring and stuff and i cannot even find one mention of this models wiring on the whole of the internet. When i plug it in is crackles and does not work but when i tap the pickups they make a 'click' sound so i think they are ok. I opened the backplate and there are 2 wires loose on two of the three pots and thats about as far as my untrained eye can see. Please if anybody at all in the whole world can help. I can send photo's of the insides and am happy to try any ideas someone may have. Thanks , joe.

Posting photos would help.

I believe it's a standard Vol-Vol-Tone control setup, correct? If so, you can search for jazz bass wiring diagrams and try to pinpoint the correct solder points.
