My Corvette fell on the just-a-nut!

Sign in to disble this ad
Just before practice yesterday, my bass toped over and seems to have landed on the just-a-nut. The ajustable screw for the lower strings was pushed into the nut and I can't screw it anymore. I ordered a Just-A-Nut III but becouse that was all they had. I am not sure which just-a-nut I had. It was a Corvette $$ from 07. I am guessing the Just-a-nut III will be compatible even if I had the Just-A-Nut II wouldn't it?
Cheers

Yup all the JAN's are interchangeable. You could have even put a JAN I on your bass.

I replaced the JAN on my Infinity, but I took the bottom part off with a razor, it just popped right off.

IIRC you have to remove the base of the JAN II before you put on the JAN III if that is indeed what you have. That's what I had to do on my 2003 thumb, but I'm not certain when the JAN III change over was.

If I am not mistaken and the just-a-nut II only had counter holes for the ajusting screws and the Just-a-nut III is the one with with the holes and two pins (which is what I had), I'm good to go without having to sand or glue anything
