My experience with the Gotoh 201B bridge

Just swapped out the standard bridge on my MIM Jazz today. The E string saddle is only 1 mm from bottoming out, so if you have ridiculously low action you may have problems (as has been reported by others).

I'm happy to report that all my saddle buzz is gone! Plugged in, there is most certainly a tonal difference, but I can't quite put my finger on it. The impression is of more depth - perhaps there are overtones that aren't being choked out by saddle buzz anymore.

Anyway, my number one gripe has been fixed. Now if only the poles lined up with the strings a little more prettily!
