open it up and see if any wires are detached

Might wanna check the jack and pots. If you've sorted out the cables and battery as not the cause, it will more than likely be the pots or jack. Not sure how pickups just "go bad" but that could also be something to look into.

Might be helpful if you describe the symptoms too. Do you get any noise at all when it's plugged in or just complete silence?

When I put the cable into the jack, it makes a poping noise, but then it goes silent. I tried both of the pickups and they dont work. When I tuch anything to the cable, it make a "sha sha sha" sound.

I agree with the soldering iron advocates. Take a quick course in soldering by getting an iron, getting a broke old piece of junk electronic something, and play for an hour soldering stuff to it. Then fix your axe. Then you'll be able to do it again someday. And maybe fix a signal cable in a pinch. The list is endless. You'll be glad you did.

Hey, I figured out it is a battery wire. I pluged in my bass and tuched the wire to part of the circut thingy(????) and my bass turned on. Cool.

So I solderd the wire and now I get sound, BUT, I melted one of the wires coming from the P pickup
Now it's making a farty noise, and not the good "farting in the bathtube farty" but th " Oh god I'mglad I'm not in and elevator" farty.

My soundgear did something similar. It was just a wire that wasn't soldered at all
