I've got myself a nice and almost shiny white perloid pickguard for my Jazz MIM deluxe. Here is the deal, the pickguard got 11 holes, so one more than the current pickguard I have and one hole is off...
I've seen nowhere on the website that the model wasn't adapted, what do you think I should do ? Return it ? Do without the 2 screws ? I've sent an inquiry but they haven't reply.
Send it back! Then make a tracing of your current pickguard and send it to WDMusic or one of the other pickguard makers. I just now returned a pickguard to Warmoth; the screwholes didn't align. "Is this a Highway One?" asked the service guy on the phone. "It's only about the 19th return we've had. Fender keeps changing the design."
By the way: anybody who owns a Fender Jazz Highway One built between 2003 and 2005, the pickguard that fits is the Fender Jazz Standard (Mexico). For some reason, this is a deep dark secret to the aftermarket pickguard manufacturers.
