Natural neck movement?

I occasionally hear people talk about re-tweaking their truss rods once or twice a year.

Once I have set up a bass, I actually haven't had to re-tweak the truss rod because of some movement. Until now.

Over the weekend, I had my bass at an outdoor benefit, and the weather was really crappy - different temps, and rainy.

It's now buzzing - especially in the first few frets. I guess I have to loosen the truss rod now a bit.

Is this very unusual or par for the course?

It's totally normal for me. During periods of peak weather change, I sometimes have to tweak the truss rods on my basses 2-3 times per week!
