Which neck for which body?

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm in the process of working on some Warmoth parts.
In about to weeks I'll have these fun toys listed below.

Babinga/Babinga Fretless Jazz neck.

Padouk/Rosewood fretted Jazz neck.

Dinky P Mahogany body with Jazz pickups. (JJ)
and
Dinky J Mahogany body with Precision and 70' repostioned jazz bridge pickup. (PJ)

Which combo would give me the best results for the fretless neck tonally?

Any advice from the fretless connoisseurs out there would be greatly appreciated.

personally i'd put the fretless neck on the P body, and the fretted neck on the PJ (j body)

I originally had that in mind, but keep waffling about what I want to do. The PJ jazz is going to be set up with push/push pots to do series/parallel for each pickup and a master series/parallel. Which makes me waffle back to putting the fretted on the PJ.
