Neck finish in a spray can?

Sign in to disble this ad
Can you recommend a satin poly-type finish in a spray can that can be found at the local hardware store?

I'd like to refinish a Squier neck, and want the slick satin finish just like my Fender P has.

Thanks

You might try the Tru-Oil spray for your finish. I've used the wipe on version on a few necks. with great success and a great fast feel

the best back of neck feel i have found is to steel wool the gloss off the back of the neck. your thumb wont 'stick'. johnny a staind

also, most hardware store products are not as 'hard' as professionally applied products. even after a week you may still be able to indent your finger nail in the gloss. try the wool first, its faster and cheaper. if it doesnt suit you, you can go for a new finish. its worth a shot. just wool it till the gloss/shine is gone. johnny a staind

I agree. The factory finish is much harder.
