My SX project bass is nearing completion and when i go to fit the neck, its got some problems. For one before starting to mod the bass, there were a couple major dead spots, which might be attibuted to my shady neck pocket. The side to side fit is not bad, barely a gap, But there is a good 1/16" gap at the bottom of the pocket. Should i be concerned that the butt end of the neck isnt touching the body? What is the remedy?
When bolted down the neck doesnt shift, but when not bolted, the neck shifts considerable, is this something i should be worried about?
