neck pocket extension... visible?

Ok, so hopefully this will be my last post about this subject.... BUT...

I have a USA custom guitar p-bass body (made for 20 frets) and a fender USA deluxe p-bass neck (22 frets)

I have decided to get a neck pocket extension instead of moving my bridge in an attempt to make the bass look more natural.

Would extending the neck pocket leave a gap between the neck and the pocket? if so, is it very obvious?
