Neck Refinishing Project

Sign in to disble this ad
I need to do some refinishing on my neck. Do I need to back off the truss rod if it will be off the body for 2 weeks?

I don't know if it will have any negative effects on it.

Thanks

I certainly would. I would just keep a precise note of how much you rolled the rod back so you can get it back to relative relief when it's back together.

For that short period of time it will neither benefit nor harm the neck no matter what you choose to do. Do whichever makes you feel more comfortable. The neck won't care.
