Neck relief on fretless

Is it better to have a flat neck, or a little bit of scoop on fretless basses? Or does it even make any difference?
Somewhat new to fretless.

IME, little-to-no relief+low action=better mwah; medium relief+higher action=more thump/thud/upright-esque tone. I like the mwah so I go nearly flat.
