Neck Swaps

Can you swap the necks on a "Squire vintage modified jazz bass fretless" and a "Squier Vintage Modified Jaguar Special HB" without any modifications, and if so what would it take?

should be pretty straight up swap, both are the standard 20 fret 34" scale Fender spec neck, even uses the same neck plate

Hi. I have a similar question. I have the Squier Vintage Modified Short Scale bass and P and J pickups. I'm a little guy so I like the shorter neck. I would like to take the neck and put it on an HB body because it has the active humbucker. Do you think the neck will fit or will there be a spacing/gap issue with the way the shorter neck sits in the HB body?

I don't know what the "HB" is. If you are trying to replace a 34" scale with a short scale, you are bound to run into problems with scaling, and probably neck pocket size difference too. Best I can tell you.
