Neck unwarps - could this happen?

The neck on my WW SSTD has a small warp - doesn't bother me much, just makes me keeping action a bit higher, good for "punch". After waxing it several times (I have also waxed the fingerboard last time) I noticed that the warp became a bit smaller. I know that the previous owner never waxed the bass. Could this happen because the neck wood approached it's right-after-production state? If so, I'm also going to begin regularly applying lemon oil to the fingerboard.

It could simply be the wood has soaked up a bit of humidity now that we're out of the dry winter air. All my basses are changing a bit and it's time to get out the truss rod tools and make some adjustments.

I don't think the wax or the lemon oil will do anyhting except make it look prettier. Won't hurt anything though.
