This weekend, I raised up the height of my strings because of string noise and now some of the notes have no sustaining sound. They are not dead notes, just not as full as before. What do you think happened? What do I do now?

Just a guess, but perhaps your 'string noise' was caused by the lack of a truss rod adjustment and NOT a string height issue. Buzzing occurring in the lower registers generally indicates a truss rod adjustment may be required (loosening it a little at a time). Mid and upper register buzzing can often be corrected by string height adjustments. Sometimes you may need to do both to get it set up properly. In what area was your original 'noise' located on the fretboard?

It was up at the top - A string at the C, Bb & D, D string at the F,Eb & G, G string at C. I also got a lot of noise when I would pull my strings. I play aggressive and you could hear when my fingers hit the strings. You can not hear that noise now that I lifted them up. I suppose the string was hitting frets when my finger hit the strings.

You need to check your intonation every time you change action height.
