Need help with my Peavey T-45

I openend the cap on the headstock to find a nut instead of an allen adjuster. I can't get anything on it. What do I need to adjust the truss rod.

Thanks

They make special, thin-walled, t-handled socket wrenches for these... A Gibson truss rod wrench may be the way to go... My guess is that it's a 5/16" nut, (W.A.G., I know, but most of these that I've seen are 5/16")... Try getting a regular thin-walled socket and see if it will fit... They're cheap enough that a guy could probably risk grinding a 'custom' one...

Contact Peavey. I remember reading somewhere that a guy had a T-40 and needed a wrench like this, and he was able to get it from Peavey directly ... still had some stock evidently.

Can't hurt placing a call ....
Good luck!

+1 on contacting Peavey or a dealer. My first real bass was a t-40, solid.

God I love the Peavey T-45. The T-40 is a lot of fun, too.

I've let one of each slip through my fingers

Man, I miss my Peavey T-40. I should have never sold it. My back isn't upset about it though, heh. Heavy SOB's
