need help repairing my bass

Sign in to disble this ad
i was playing some stuff up on the Octave+5 (19th fret) and up and it makes no sound at all on my A string, buzzes like crazy on my E & D string, but its fine on my G string. do i need to adjust the truss rod or did my neck somehow get warped? if my g string was doin the same as the others i would just adjust the truss rod but i didnt kno if that would be the problem.

also my cousin called me while i was typing this asking me how to fix it cus his bass just started doin the same thing odd.

what bass and what are you seeing when you sight up and down the neck ?? ... does truss rod adjust at heel or headstock? ... you should be able to see any significant twisting (compare relief on both edges) ... if two basses are doing the exact same thing like this, I would tend to suspect your set-ups rather than an abrupt change or twisting ... did one of you set both basses up?

no we dont live anywhere near each other and our only similarities is we both use DR extra life strings on them. the sights look fine, truss rod is a headstock one, and im thinking it might just be the bridge.

my bass is a Spector Professional 4 string with dr extra life strings
