Need help/suggestions on frets

Ok so I've been playing the bass for about 4 years now. I recently purchased a used Carvin LB70P. When I got it, it sounded great except for the action was too high. I thought I could fix this problem by adjusting the bridge and adjusting the truss rod (the neck was a little bowed). After doing so the neck felt pretty good, I was able to play "fast", so to speak. But I was getting major fret buzz, so I adjusted the bridge a little higher to make it go away, it's a little too high now though. I was thinking about taking it to a shop and having the frets trimmed, before that though I wanted to see if anyone had any alternatives. I'm new to this thing so I'll just put out my email: the_markster26@yahoo.com

hopefully someone out there can help me out haha

You may need to take it to a good tech to set it up for the best action you can get. The Carvin is noted for having excellently levelled frets right from the factory, so unless you got a very rare bad one, they should not need any work unless the bass is really old and you have some frets worn very low. The Carvin will set up to play with a very low action compared to many other basses, but how hard you dig in when playing will determine how low you can set it. If you play with a light touch with good technique it'll get pretty low.

Hey, thanks for the help. It took some time but I finally got the action to how I want it.
