We play in Drop D 1/2 step down ( C# ) and I wanted to make sure that to get the clankiness out of the strings this is what I should do. Tune to that tuning, adjust the relief in the neck according to that setup info on the website given in the sticky, and then adjust the bridge if I'm unsatisfied with string height. right? Thanks.

Adjust bridge keight first, then check relief. When that's okay, fine tune the bridge height. You may have to go with heavier guage strings before you're satisfied.
