Need New Tuners For a Fender 50's Reissue Pbass

Sign in to disble this ad
Time for the 50's reissue tuners to go. These things really sink. In the good, better, best scenario I'm looking for "better". The problem I'm having is finding the right size. The neck is maple and MIM. I have no idea what hole spacing or post size I need. I just know these things have to go!

These tuners are direct replacements for MIM peg heads. Hipshot HB7 tuning machines.

XRay,
You didn't mention why you feel the vintage tuners stink.
Is it the weight? Keys hard to turn?
I would select a new tuner with the same footprint and mounting pattern, so as to avoid drilling new holes. You'll save yourself headaches.

Good all-around option:

Cadillac option: (can be hard to get currently)
