Yes....if it's a 66 with a crappy later paint job, best resale value and most authenticity will be achieved with a professional-quality nitro lacquer paint job. That's not cheap.
You can do the same work yourself, but you need to do your homework, study and buy some basic tools, and invest a lot of hours in doing it right.
