Hey,
There has probably been a form on this but I havent seen it so here goes...
I am thinking of upgrading my bridge on my Yamahabb615.
Heres what I was thinking:

Any comments?
Throw out any better suggestions if ou feel theres a need to.

Cheers,
Conor (Basscat125)

What problem are you trying to correct?

The word 'upgrade" implies that there is a problem or deficiency that you are trying to correct.

Alignment is indeed potentially a problem - however, based on the photos I pulled up, the strings aren't supposed to go in line with the pole pieces, but between them.

The buzz has nothing to do with the bridge - that's a setup or fret problem.

Has anyone who knows how to setup instruments taken a look at this? Sounds to me like you need a good setup before you spend $ for a bridge.

Also, the BB615 and BB415 have 18mm spacing. The one you listed is much tighter than that @ 16.5mm.

I'd suggest posting a picture so we see what you mean. I believe a good setup is a better first step.

Best of luck,

Bob
