New (to me) Warwick

So when I got home today I go up to my room and to my surprise I find a new Roadrunner bad sitting on my bed. When I open it(as you can probably guess from the title) there is a Warwick Thumb bolt on sitting in the bag. Needless to say I am very happy! But...after playing it for about five mins I notice a slight crack in the body starting right neer the bottom of the bass and it continues up the back. Its not deep at all or wide, maybe the width of a hair. I do have a fretless corvette and the wax. If I maintaine this bass right unlike the previous owner probably didnt, is the crack going to get worse???

The body could just be dry. Wood basses tend to have gaps or hairline cracks open up along seams in the wood due to the wood shrinking. During a more moist time of year you'll probably see that crack disappear.

This happens every year with my 'vette. During the winter the seams open up a bit but in the summer it's all good.

Thanks For the reply. Anybody else have anything to say, or is this the general consensus?
