New member wants badass II bridge = newb questions

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm a new forum member and unfortunately new to the world of bass guitar upgrading. Sorry to bog down your forum with yet another newb question, but after searching I could not find the answer.
Here goes...

I was wondering if anyone knows how easy a Leo Quan Badass II is to install into a MIM Standard P bass. I've seen several accounts of people mentioning this upgrade, but no mention of the simplicity.

Specifically my concerns involve the five screw holes present on the p bass and the Badass II. Do they just pop right in right as rain like a glove? Does the bass need modified?
Another concern is the string spacing of 2 1/4". Is that compatible with a Mexican P bass?
Third: there is a grooved version and an ungrooved version. What is the difference?

Thanks
