New nut for a T-40?

Sign in to disble this ad
The metal nut on the T-40 I have was for some really heavy gauge strings. The D is the only one that sits too low. Any fixes other than getting a new nut made? I've tried some thick strings....but it still buzzes.

A friend of mine needed a new T-40 nut and got one directly from Chip Todd (designer of the T60 and T40) for either $5 or $10. Chip's Email address is

chiptodd@austin.rr.com

Really nice guy and has answered several of my questions on T40's.

Awesome! Thank you. I'll shoot an email to him later tonight.
